Picture

Ambassador

Ambassadors only count Ambassadors that other Players control in their respective Play Areas.

You can have any number of Ambassadors in your Play Area, but they do not count each other.
Picture

Assassin

Assassins can be used on any card in Play, including cards in your Play Area.

If you target The King with an Assassin, nothing happens and the Assassin is discarded having done nothing.

As this is not a may ability, you must choose a card that is in Play (if there are any) when you Discard an Assassin.
Picture

Banker

When counting the score for Bankers, each Player can only count one, even if that Player has multiple in their Play Area. The other Bankers are considered to be worth 0 Victory Paws.
Picture

Bodyguard

Bodyguards can only be Discarded as your Discard for the turn, or whenever another Player Discards a card from their hand. Whatever effect that card would cause, is cancelled.

A Bodyguard can be used to cancel another Bodyguard. If this happens, the first Bodyguard is Discarded without doing anything and the abilities of the card that it was supposed to cancel continue as if nothing occurred.
Picture

The Committee

The When Discarded ability of The Committee occurs before you draw for the turn.

When Discarding The Committee from your Play Area, your turn immediately ends without you completing any other steps.

Picture

Conspiracy

As this cards ability is a may ability, you do not have to use it when you Discard it.

If there is only one card left in the deck, you cannot choose to activate this ability. The card does nothing when Discarded.

Picture

Councilor

What do you want me to say about this one? It's pretty self-explanatory. It probably helps that he's trained in explaining things.
Picture

Delegate

Delegates only count other Delegates that you have in Play. The Victory Paws do not stack, for example:

For one Delegate in Play, you get +1 Victory Paw.
For two Delegates in Play, both give you +2 Victory Paws (+4 in total)
For three Delegates in Play, each will still only give you +2 Victory Paws (+6 in total)

Picture

Emblem

There are four different arts for the Emblems, but they all share the same name and ability.
Picture

The General

The General's In Play ability can be activated anytime you Discard a card from your hand.

Any card that you have in Play can be returned by this ability (except for The King), including The General itself.

Picture

The King

The King can be Discarded from your Hand.

By cannot be removed, this means that The King cannot be Discarded from Play by any card's abilities, nor can it be removed from Play by any other means (such as The General's In Play ability).

Picture

Officer

Pretty self explanatory.

Since cats can't bark, I guess this guy has to purr his orders.

Picture

Quartermaster

Quartermasters do not count themselves or other Quartermasters with their ability. Each card that is counted by this ability must have a different name than any other card you have in Hand.

Cards with alternate arts (such as Emblems and Recruits) do not count as different cards, so long as they have the same name.

Picture

Recruit

Recruits by themselves are worth 0 Victory Paws.

The rewards for having multiple Recruits in Hand are only counted once per Player, not per Recruit.

There are alternate arts on Recruits, but they all have the same name and same ability. The art does not need to match for you to count a Recruit.

Picture

The Riot

As this card's ability is a When Played ability rather than a When Discarded ability, this cannot be countered by a Bodyguard.

This card can be discarded by the Assassin, as well as "returned" to your hand by the General if you have that in your Play Area as well.

Picture

Soldier

As this card's When Discarded ability is a may ability, you do not have to use it when you Discard it.

If you Discard the first card shown by a Soldier, you may not take it back if you have drawn the second card. Instead, you must keep the second card, even if it isn't as useful.
Picture

Spy

The best way to ensure that a Player targeted by a Spy truly Discards a card at random, is to have that Player shuffle their hand and then let the Player that activated the Spy choose one of the cards (without seeing its front) and remove that card.
Picture

Summit

On the turn that you Play The Summit, you still draw a card.

If the Summit is ever removed from your Play Area, choose a card that you have in Hand, and it Discard it, unless you already have four or fewer cards in hand.

Picture

Veteran

When you Discard a Veteran, its ability technically activates before it is put into the Discard Pile.

To randomly return a card from the Discard Pile to your Hand, set the Discarded Veteran aside and quickly shuffle the Discard Pile. Without looking, take a card from anywhere within the Discard Pile and put it into your Hand.

Once you have chosen whether or not to return a card, you cannot go back.
